Exciting Enhancements To The Bulk Import Service

We've released some exciting enhancements to our Bulk Import service to make mapping your file easier.

 

XML mapping file created automatically
Now you can simply point the bulk import service to your sample data file and your file will be automatically mapped!  This means you do not need to write an XML mapping for your file from scratch.  Instead, the bulk import service will create the XML mapping for you, which you can view and edit on screen.  You should expect to do some editing to the automatically produced XML to add any translation or other mapping logic that may not have been evident from the sample data file itself.
 
Edit the XML mapping within Bulk Import
The XML mapping can now be viewed and edited on screen.  This means you can see mapping errors and tweak the mapping right within the bulk import service. 
 
Add file name at run time
When you are ready to run the import process, you can now indicate the data file name that you want the service to pick-up at run-time.  Prior to this, you needed to enter the file name when you created the process.  This is helpful if your file name changes with each run.
