Here are the latest changes, updates, and new features for the Education management products for June 13, 2023.

Learning resources

Annual procedures

As the end of the academic year nears, admins should prepare to complete their annual procedures. To get started, view the online help. Platform managers can also access this help topic from the Tasks section of their Home page in Core.

To learn more about multi factor authentication for Blackbaud ID, join an upcoming webinar. Recordings will be available on demand after each webinar event. Platform managers can also access the registration page for these webinars from their Core homepage.

URL changing for student enrollment

The web address for the Student enrollment worklist has changed. Previously the URL would include “sis-scheduling,” but now it ends with “sis-enrollment/student-enrollment-worklist.”
If you have saved a bookmark to this page, you will need to navigate to it again by selecting Scheduling, Requests and schedules, then Student enrollment. Other URLs will be updated soon for pages related to scheduling and enrollment.

Candidate Checklist

This update was originally created on the Community Ideas board. After an admissions manager archives a checklist, they'll no longer see that checklist in any place that they can assign or filter on checklists/related checklist items. This includes areas like Process Inquiries, Needs checklist, Process applications, Process event registrations, etc.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) preference added to the admissions inquiry form

Admissions inquiry forms now feature a Global Privacy Control field for admissions candidates. This toggle allows schools to discern the privacy preferences of admissions candidates.
When Global Privacy Control is set to Enabled, the candidate is communicating that they do not want their data shared with third-party organizations.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) preferences added to various forms

Various forms now read and store the GPC browser setting for guest visitors. This allows schools to discern the privacy preferences of visitors who interact with store, custom, giving, and event registration forms.
When GPC Enabled is set to True on a form’s detail page, the visitor is communicating that they do not want their data shared with third-party organizations.

Subscribe to “What’s New”

To receive email notifications when the What’s new update appears, make sure to subscribe to the K12 community’s blog by logging into the community site and selecting the Subscribe button.
To manage your community subscriptions:
  1. Log into the community and locate your name and profile picture in the upper right corner.
  2. Select the drop-down arrow and select My Account.
  3. From the My Account page, select the Subscriptions tab and scroll down to the Blogs section.
  4. Locate Blackbaud K-12 Education solutions Blog. If you want to be notified as soon as the What’s new content goes live on the community, select the Instant option. You can also opt for Daily and Weekly notifications.
  5. Scroll to the end of the page and select Save changes.
