While
Raiser's Edge NXT updated earlier this week with enhancements to how you manage constituent relationships, it also just rolled out a new
Revenue type filter in
Analyze and on records of campaigns, funds, and appeals so you can choose whether to include cash-in-hand giving or commitments like pledges and matching gifts.
But wait, there's more! In an upcoming release (as in
soon), your constituents'
Giving calculations will update with additional gift types — including
soft credits and
pledges — to better recognize the impact donors have!
Received or Committed. By popular demand, you can now use a new
Revenue type filter to choose whether to include either cash-in-hand giving or commitments such as pledges and matching gifts when you gauge fundraising efforts in
Fundraising,
Analyze or records of campaigns, funds, and appeals.
- Received — To focus on cash-in-hand giving, select "Received" to include:
- Donations and gifts of stock/property
- Payments toward pledges, matching gifts, recurring gifts, and planned gifts
- Committed — To focus on the commitment toward your fundraising efforts, select "Committed" to include:
- Pledges and matching gifts, less any write-offs
- Donations and gifts of stock/property
- Payments toward recurring gifts and planned gifts

Recognition. To better recognize a donor's impact on your organization, the
Giving totals on the constituent's record and in constituent lists will soon include additional gift types including soft credits and pledges (so expect to see these totals to change in the near future!).
- The years giving and years consecutive totals and first, latest, and greatest details will include giving — and soft credits, not currently included! — of:
- Donations, gifts of stock/property, gifts-in-kind, and gifts of Other
- Pledges and matching gifts (not currently included!)
- Payments toward pledges, recurring gifts, matching gifts, and other commitments
- The soft credit estimate will include soft credits of:
- Donations, gifts of stock/property, gifts-in-kind, and gifts of Other
- Pledges and matching gifts (not currently included!)
- Payments toward pledges, recurring gifts, matching gifts, and other commitments
- The lifetime giving estimate will include:
- Donations, gifts of stock/property, gifts-in-kind, and gifts of Other
- Payments toward pledges, recurring gifts, matching gifts, and other commitments
- The outstanding balance on the constituent's pledges
- Soft credits included in the updated Soft credit estimate
