New Features Coming this Week

Starting this week, you'll find new features in your Altru solution! The release is all about increasing your fundraising dollars through recurring giving and additional online donations. Here are some details of what that entails:

• Online Recurring Gifts: Website users can now sign up for recurring gifts online! On the donation form, the user can select the amount and frequency of their recurring gift. The average nonprofit only retains 24% of first year donors. By enabling your donors to commit to future gifts at the time of the first gift, you immediately improve retention and ultimately increase fundraising revenue.
• Recurring Gifts Credit Card Processing: To further improve the recurring gift process, Altru 4.8 includes a new credit card process that runs automatically at night (between 3:00 and 5:00 a.m.) to process each online and offline recurring gift with a payment due.
• Additional Online Donations: Your customers can now make an additional donation to the shopping cart when they buy tickets or other items as part of an online sales transaction. This helps you put donations in the purchase path of a ticket buyer, increasing the likelihood they will give. Once enabled, the additional donation option appears in the shopping cart and customers can enter the amount they would like to give.
