New Version of Google Chrome Affecting Printing in Altru

We identified an issue that may impact printing capability in the latest version of Chrome; Version 71. We are currently working to address this issue, but we wanted to let customers know that this has the potential to disable printing within the Chrome browser. We are recommending to temporarily use Internet Explorer or choose not to update to Chrome 71 until we can fully resolve the error.  
 
Please refer to our Knowledgebase article on this issue for updates. We will continue to work to address this so that Chrome can resume printing capability. Did you test Chrome printing in the dev channel before 71 was released?

A piece of advice: If you're not sure whether or not your browser has updated to 71 yet, DO NOT CHECK!! Chrome will auto-run the update as you are looking to see what version you have unless you turn off auto-updating first.


I don't know about for Macs, but on a PC, to stop auto-update from running do the following steps:

1. Open the Run prompt using the keyboard shortcut Windows key + R
2. Once it opens, type msconfig and hit Enter.
3. In the System Configuration window, go to the Services tab.
4. You’ll want to look for the two following items: Google Update Service (gupdate) and Google Update Service (gupdatem). To find them, it may be easier to check Hide all Microsoft services.
5. Uncheck both Google items and click OK.
6. You will be prompted to restart your computer for these changes to take effect.

Then, make sure your staff knows not to allow the updates to run if prompted.

Hi everyone, 


Thanks for the fantastic advice and additional guidance below. We do test our solutions against the latest version of browsers as part of our standard development process; however, there were additional adjustments made in Chrome 71 between our testing and deployment. We are evaluating additional steps to take to prevent this in the future and are working as quickly as possible to deliver a solution to resolve this situation.

I am curious if this update is why I am seeing an increase in "Unresolved Online Orders". Anyone else seen an increase in these? Most of ours process the payment, but fail to link to Altru.

I have been encountering this same issue recently.  Very frustrating!  Especially when it occurs with a summer camp registration.
