Now Available: Set Recurring Processing Dates in Standard Donation Forms

Exciting news for Blackbaud Altru® users of Blackbaud’s Standard Donation Forms! A new feature has been introduced, enabling organizations to set recurring gift processing dates, offering greater control and flexibility for both donors and administrators.

What’s changing?

Previously, recurring gifts were processed automatically on the date the donor selected, which remains a best practice for donor ease. However, feedback from customers indicated that this potentially put more strain on gift processors who may have business processes built around managing recurring gifts just one or two days a month.

This update introduces the ability to predefine up to two specific processing dates each month. Administrators can now configure these options through the Standard Form designer. Whether choosing one day or two, these settings align with an organization's unique scheduling needs.

How does it work?

If a donor selects a day that falls on a weekend or a date like the 30th or 31st that doesn’t occur every month, the system ensures the gift is processed on the next available business day. This seamless automation removes any guesswork and simplifies the process for everyone involved.

The feature is available for recurring gifts with monthly, quarterly, or annual frequencies. When donors preview their options, the form dynamically updates to show the next four available start dates based on the new settings.

Your post makes it sound like this feature has been active and available since mid-July, however it's mid-September and I've tested making multiple Standard Donation forms through Online Giving and the option to select which dates recurring gifts are processed does not show up in my form editor. Am I missing something or is this actually only available to RENXT users and NOT Altru?
