Soft Credit Missing When Adding Gifts Through API

When using the API to enter a gift in RE/NXT, I noticed that even if the option "Automatically soft credit this individual for gifts" is checked, the soft credit is not always applied to the gift.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

    SKY API does not take business rule into consideration, so I'm not surprise what you said is true.

    For example: in business rule, we have new appeal automatically create transaction code 1 entry in FE (being integrated with FE NXT), but this does not work with SKY API create new appeal code.

    You may want to check the Idea Bank to see if someone already got an idea out there to be voted on, or create one yourselves

  • Thanks for his question. On a somewhat similar (and more concerning) note, last week and this week we noticed that when a recurring gift got made via an RE NXT donation form and the donor was related to his/her spouse's record with the Automatically soft credit this individual for gifts checkbox filled in, the recurring gift's soft-credit field does not get filled in with the spouse's name. We do not believe this was the case a few months ago when we were making some similar gifts (recurring gift, married in RE, spouse auto-soft-credited, etc.) Maybe someone else has noticed this. I'll check the Idea bank next… if I can find it! :-)
