Registrant opt out / ticket release

Hi friends!

What's the best way to manage registrant opt outs / ticket releases?

I would like to send an email to a list of event registrants before their event so they can opt out / release their ticket if they can no longer make it. The goal is to get an accurate headcount and to offer any extra tickets to a waitlist.

In the past, we've just had registrants reply to the email and then manually removed them from the event list. Is there a more elegant solution using webforms or any other tools? Automatic, one-click opt-outs would be ideal — the registrant gets the email, taps a button, and they're automatically removed from the list.

TL;DR: What's the easiest way to let event registrants unregister if they can no longer attend the event?
