Fundraiser Performance tile on home page is inaccurate

Our fundraisers are reporting that the totals on the fundraiser performance tile on the NXT home page are inaccurate. I cannot figure out what is included as the total on the tile does not match anything I can query or report using standard reports. There is no drill down to validate the number presented so I can't tell if it is including gifts outside the assignment range or what goes into the number presented. There are three variables I can select: fiscal or calendar year; size of a major gift; and, soft-credit. Changing any/all of those variables does not change the fundraiser credit for the year.

This tile is pulling based on the data on the gift vs. who is assigned to the constituent. This page may be helpful in understanding it and trying to analyze what is being counted.

To test this - I used the instructions on that page to view gifts from constituents assigned to a particular solicitor and I could see that there were gifts from her people but the gifts were not credited to her. Upon updating one of those gifts in database view to give her the credit, the amount on the tile changed.

Please note that there is a delay in updating the gift in DBV and seeing that reflected in the Unified View.

  • Thanks Carlene,

The Work Center/gift tab for the fundraiser matches the query of assigned prospects/gifts for 2025. Those totals match one another but do not match the Fundraiser Performance tile on the NXT home page which is less than the query/gift tab total by about $80k

  • It appears that maybe planned gifts are being excluded?

  • It's documented, but shouldn't we be able to choose what is included in a philanthropy officer's totals? We count pledges (not pledge payments as they may happen in future years), we count planned gifts as that is one of the metrics our philanthropy officers are measured against. This number is not an accounting practice but a measurement of the success of individual gift officers against the metrics WE define. Hmpf!

  • This explains the numbers but also renders this tile ineffective. We cannot use this as a measurement of our progress or success.

I suggest making an idea in the idea bank for this. If you do, please share the link to the idea here so others can vote on it.
