2026 Resolutions?

Anyone have some resolutions for the new year?

I've been thinking about it, and I kind of want to maybe tackle my fear of heights. Slowly. Really slowly. Really, really slowly. Why are my hands sweating?

  • For me, its to prioritize sleep. Sounds easy but for a night owl like me it might be tougher than it sounds. Good luck with your goal. @Bobby Steurer

  • You might try a zipline! That seems like a good intro into conquering a fear of heights!

  • My friend had a good resolution to try one thing new every month. I liked it, taking it! I recently went skiing for the first time in 20 years. I consider that newish!

  • @Crystal Bruce Ah, great idea. There's a good one in town that goes through a cave in our city zoo!

  • I don't really believe in resolutions per se, but I am prioritizing my family this year.

  • It's actually work-related (sorry!), but I want to start writing at least monthly on our team's internal Wiki about how we use Luminate. We lose a lot of institutional knowledge because of normal staff-turnover, and this project was created to let folks easily save their tips and tricks about getting the most out of LO, as well as our in-house standards for the platform.

  • That's a good one! I'd really like to have an internal Wiki for my staff here.

Like @Lauren Henderson I don't really do resolutions but doing non-work related things is maybe a goal. I find that even in volunteer work I am the tech or fundraising guy, so seeing if I can do some things outside of that sphere, like reading, hiking, etc.

I struggle with Resolutions, as I find that if I start to slide on them, I give up completely. So, rather than a resolution with specific criteria, I have set a goal to use my Finch app every week. Within the app, you can set micro-goals, and update them regularly. So rather than a resolution to go to the gym three times a week, I have a goal to "go to the gym today" in the app, and whenever I check it off my little Finch avatar give me happy feedback.

Not a resolution person but have goals/ambitions in several areas. One is to be more 'social' with work team. I tend to be at my desk to work and avoid all the chit chat. :)
