Acces Grade Plans on different dates - Possible?

Happy New Year to everyone 🎉

Our school wants 8th and 12th grade teachers to submit their final grades at the beginning of May, before graduations, while allowing the rest of the school to submit their grades at the end of May.

Grade plans apply to schools and marking periods, these can't be open for particular grade levels. Has anyone found a way to work around a similar situation.
