How do I track the emails that I sent out?

I am the one who had the problem of sending Gift Statements to donors that I had no intention of emailing. However, now that these emails have been sent, how do people track the emails that they send? When I go to a record of someone who I sent this accidental email, I do not see any indication on their record that I sent them anything. When I look into the Communications section I don't see any indication here either. How is this working for other people? Thanks so much. Valerie

Not sure this helps, but when the emails are sent through webview, they go onto the recipients' profiles under Email History (in webview).

I have heard, but do not know from personal experience, that the only emails that are added to email history are those sent using RE NXT marketing. As I said, I don't know for certain, just that for emails sent using another platform can not be added.

I agree with JoAnn. When NXT emailed donors Giving Statements to a group of donors I was preparing Giving Statements for, I was completely frustrated. When I calmed down, I checked each record to see if any of the donors who were emailed Giving Statements had any indication that they were sent an email on their record - and the answer is NO. No email information exists in their record - it is not recorded in the Email History Tile. (It is recorded in a Giving Statement tile.)

As I am a donor to the organization, I just sent myself an email via the database to see if it would be recorded in the Email History tile and the answer is also "no".

However, we send out monthly birthday cards to our donors via the tools available through the NXT Email Marketing tool and these emails DO get recorded in that Email History Tile.

I greatly appreciate these 2 responses as they helped me think this problem through and I can now with confidence conclude that JoAnn is correct "only emails that are added to email history are those sent using RE NXT marketing." Thank you for your time!! 🙂
