Training Options

I am requesting more frequent ILD trainings and/or that all courses are available via eTraining.

While learning the system, I've found training options to be extremely limiting - either the class is only offered during times where I'm completely unavailable due to conflicting, mandatory meetings, or it's only available 1-2 months out, which creates an unreasonable timeline for onboarding. Particularly if trainings require a Fundamentals training first, it creates a timeline of 3-4 months.

I am also requesting updates to training content.

The trainings are also too bite-sized - the trainers often have a difficult time using the entire 1.5 hour block. It would be so much more helpful to have the bite-sized trainings available as an eTraining (on demand) and longer trainings available as ILD trainings, with more in-depth and immediately applicable uses.

Hey there!

Mary Katherine - definitely make sure that you give that feedback on the Survey(s) - I'm not as familiar with the Raiser's Edge NXT curriculum, but I do know that we are working hard to make every Fundamentals course (instructor-led) have an associated eLearning course. We have accomplished that with Financial Edge NXT, and I believe they are at least CLOSE to finished with Raiser's Edge NXT. Great thank you - I submitted a ticket.

I'm trying to get more comfortable with Queries at this point. Since Database is being phased out, I'm not being trained on it in my organization, so we are only using RE, but we don't have access to some things we need. There are some folks who have been at this org for a few years, and so they are the Database users and the rest of us are web view only. I think there are a lot of small things causing larger issues - the training is just one piece.

We're looking forward to when Web View has the full capabilities of Database as well.

I too would love more frequent training sessions to be available - mainly because since we are in the UK, the time difference means that we can only really attend the "9am" sessions
