Using event form for selling items

We have a committee at school that will be selling lawn signs and pearl bracelet/earring set for seniors that the parents will purchase. I originally used a standard form and found that my additional fields (first name for the sign) did not transfer, nor did the specific items purchased. I was told to try an events form. Can anybody advise if this will be my best option for what I am looking for and if the information will transfer to capture items purchased and first names for lawn signs?

  • I asked a similar question back in August 2025 as I was looking to sell parchment frames through RE NXT. You can see all the great feedback that I got. In short, I did not move to sell merchandise through RE NXT as there were too many complications that would create challenges for our gift admin folks. At the end of the day, it is a fundraising platform at heart designed to mainly accept donations.

    you can use RE NXT Event registration form to sell none-ticket item. The experience will be "quantity" based not donation amount based ($30 for a bracelet, you select # of bracelet you want to buy). YOu can also add participant option to the form as question to get answer for.

  • Can you explain what you mean by the additional items not transferring? If you set these up as Gift Custom Fields and add them to the donation form, it should not be a problem. You may just need an update to your original form and will not need an event registration form instead. My understanding is that the query / export options from event participant records is lacking.
