Unable to complete registration for Inside Track on April 14th

Good Afternoon,

I received an email highlighting upcoming Connect for Success events.

I'm interested in this one.

When I visit this link, I am unable to complete registration. I fill in all the fields, but the submit button isn't accessible. It's like it's waiting for a required field. I've tried viewing the screen at a reduced percentage to ensure I'm not missing a field, but there's nothing there.

I've successfully registered for other events, it just shouldn't be this hard.

    You are not the first one to have issues with this. Try registering with a different browser. I was having issues with Chrome but had success with Edge.

    @Crystal Bruce can you pass along to whichever team handles these things that many of us are still having issues registering for events using Chrome? I know that @Heather MacKenzie or @Maya Rosman had issues recently as well.

    Maya - was it you whose issue was resolved by changing the Country field?

    I thought I was the only one having this problem and chalked it up to user error or a connectivity issue. I tried about 6 times between today and yesterday. The form was filled out, but the purple submit button wouldn't unlock.

    Finally, instead of using the link in the email, I googled the event name separately, went to a different webpage, and was able to register.

    Not quite sure if that was the workaround or if I just got lucky.

  • A lot of people with a lot of skill sets and a lot of browsers have been having trouble over the last few months. I did with some PUBs as well, so it is not limited to the Inside Track Sessions. I've been told there was space available after I tried to sign up for Inside Track Sessions and received a message that it was full.

    If you were thinking "it shouldn't be this hard" you are not alone, and you are also correct.

    Blackbaud - can you please test these registration links before posting in the community and sending emails?

    @Kathryn Hall - thanks for flagging this! We've tested internally and haven't been able to recreate the issue. However, here are some recommendations from our webinar servicer:

    • Clear the browser's cache and cookies
    • Open the registration page in another browser (Chrome is preferred, followed by Microsoft Edge)
    • Open the registration page in Incognito mode with extensions disabled
    • Access the page from a non-VPN/non-corporate network

    Any screenshots of the exact error anyone encounters can help us investigate further. If issues persist, contact conference@blackbaud.com.

    Hi @Carlene Johnson! Totally understand and definitely want to improve the experience. While we’ve tested this internally and haven’t been able to recreate the issue, I have shared this feedback with the provider so they're aware and can review it further. Based on the feedback and the lack of error message, it seems these cases are tied to local browser or network settings (extensions, cache, VPNs, etc.). 

    Regardless, that's not a great experience for anyone! While we investigate further and work on solutions for next go around, if anyone continues to get stuck, email conference@blackbaud.com and we can help get them registered.

  • I had the same issue and it seemed tied to autofill of the form - possibly the country field. It worked when I entered everything manually but wasn't able to click submit originally.
