Basic Workflows in NXT

We have been going through suggestions for how we can improve the supporter journey for our regular givers, including things like sending a card/letter when they reach certain milestones, sending an ask to uplift their gift after a certain time has passed. We would like to use Workflows to initiate this but need some help getting started.

Can anyone recommend a "dummys guide" to workflows? or are there templates that can be downloaded and amended?

@Austen Brown has experience with Workflows as they exist currently and some pros/cons with them. She can also offer suggestions related to automation using Power Automate.
