Course Visibility

Does anyone know how (or if it's possible…) to make courses visible for students without letting them see what periods of the day their classes are? I'd really like to release student courses (so they know what summer work they need to do) but our course schedule may change, so I don't want students to necessarily see what period of the day each of their classes is scheduled in. I hope that makes sense…

Thanks in advance if anyone has a nifty way to do this that they don't mind sharing.

@Amy Welsh - If you "turn on" Course request setup for the upcoming year, if students click on the Course Requests tab on their profile, they will see whether they have been enrolled in a course but not the section. They will also see if one of their requests has not been fulfilled.

Before you do this, I would recommend you remove permission for students to Edit Student Course Requests in the Student role via Security > Roles > Student > Tasks > Scheduling > Edit Student Course Requests
