Hi Elias, regarding the global gradebook settings for Mastery, most of the settings for these are completed through Mastery settings found in Academics > Grades > Grading Setup > Mastery and selecting either the Transferrable Skills or Content-area Skills
For Transferable skills, you will set the computation method and ratings per school level and Teachers cannot change that. That is the extent of the global setup for Transferable skills. For Content-Area skills you also have the option of setting the computation method globally for each school level, however, you will have the option to let the teachers set their own computation method if you wish. Once both those settings are complete the only other global options you can set are for the defaults for Mastery display. You can do this by navigating to Academics > Grades > Grading Setup > Gradebook settings. Once there you can edit the school level under Default Gradebook settings. and towards the bottom of the options are the Mastery display settings which allow you to set the default landing page when viewing the gradebooks, meaning you either land on the Skill based breakdown by default or the traditional total points break down. You can also select to show the computation method chosen to the viewer and restrict teachers from making any changes surrounding Mastery in their Gradebooks. Beyond that I would say the last thing you may want to do is inform the teachers that will be using Mastery to set their default evaluation method for assignments in the current school year by navigating to Faculty > My Day > Assignment Center > …More > Preferences. Here they will find a number of preferences they can set including setting the default evaluation method to Total Points (Traditional), Mastery, or a combination of Mastery and Total points.
