This year we created a school form on parents giving permission on what kind of information can be shared to the public directory (sent out to parents, different from the internal directory for staff only that has all information).
A little over 50% of parents responded they are okay with including phone/email contacts, but not sharing their home addresses.
Because of this we decided to move away from including home addresses on the public directory, and have parents reach out to one another if they want that information.
Though I can't seem to figure out how to not include addresses on the Student Parent Directory in reports or if I could just make an alternate version of the report that excludes addresses. Is there a way to edit that built-in report to disallow addresses for one type of directory for all schools?
And if not, I saw that you can set it so profile access settings on a parent's individual account doesn't allow it. But I assume this would also block it in general, if I want to still have a full internal directory with all info?
My last resort is editing the PDF manually, but this is a lot of work. Just wondering what other schools do with their directory, especially if you have two versions for internal vs. public-facing directory where a sizable portion of parents don't want certain information shared.
Thank you!
