I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about where we could create a field to mark that a parent has been background checked. The teachers would need to see this but we wouldn't want it to be seen by parents or students. Any ideas???
In Core - Settings - General Settings - Custom Fields you can create a field. Name it what you want. I believe it only creates Text Input fields.
Then go to Core - Security - Profile Access. Change the Parent to No for viewing the custom field (so now they won't be able to see it). Now go to Profile Publish Access to turn it on for the users you want to see it. And then go to Profile Publish Access to see who can edit it.
Thank you for the reply. I am trying to avoid using the publishable fields option because we only get 10 of those and we are already using 9. I should have included that in my original post. Any other thoughts?
OK. Maybe create a Community Group called Background Check Cleared and only let teachers and staff see it via Core - Security - Group Page Access..
You could use Profile Notices and just make sure you have them set to be viewable by the relevant people.
