Goal meter..,.does it work live?

Hi, we hold a gala every year, but have never asked for donations during the event.  We would like to make an ask this year and thought it might be nice to show live results on screen the night of the event.  Is that possible with Raiser's Edge donation forms?  I was wondering if the goal meter might work.

I do know that Goal Meter web component that goes off of a gift list does NOT update immediately. We use it for our Giving Day since we get a mix of online and offline donations.

There are two options. One is where it will increase based on gifts processed through the form and one where it will increase based on a list of gifts that you have created in RE.

You should know that the first option does not include any offline gifts unless you manually add those.

The second option can only show gifts that have been committed to RE - meaning you need to approve/commit any gift batches first.

If this is truly a live event option 1 could work very well for you!

As with anything, I encourage you to test it out first - you can create a form and set it to test mode to get a better idea of how the functionality works.
