Linking New Gift as seperate transaction for - Renewed Membership

When an expired membership is renewed, the Link to Gifts section should display two gift records:

1. Gift associated with the initial membership transaction
2. Gift associated with the renewal transaction

The client expects both transactions to be tracked separately (in GIFT), including their respective transaction amounts.

In the below image after the membership renewed- Membership history is rendering two records,

Steps Performed

1. Renewed the expired membership using:
   membership/v1/memberships/428680/renew
2. Created a new gift for the renewal transaction.
   • The gift creation API completed successfully.
3. Attempted to link the newly created gift to the renewed membership using:
   membership/v1/memberships/428680/addlinktogift

addlinktogift-error

The addlinktogift API is failing with the following error:

Observation

The new gift is created successfully, but the issue occurs when attempting to link the gift to the membership transaction/junction record.

This appears to occur specifically for the renewal membership flow .

Please let me know , there is an way to show two transaction in gift section.
