Re: Constant Green Dot
@Jennifer Benson
When the green dot bounces in and out for over 10 minutes, something is def wrong.
Re: Constant Green Dot
@Anne Swearingin Thank you!! My case number is 019682280 if needed to reference. Blackbaud will not listen and keeps telling me there is nothing wrong!
Re: Side menu
I 100% agree with those hating the side menu. It was so much more convenient on the top and didn't take up needed screen space.
Re: Side menu
I absolutely hate the side menu. HATE IT.
Clunky, space hogging, non-intuitive, ill conceived.
Please put this back at the top where it belongs.
This collapse, expand, collapse, expand, hunt and search and curse to find what I need is so annoying.
Re: Problem with Queries
I think this would have to be an Idea Bank ask. Blackbaud simply took every field, and output as string of text. While I think BB can do better and create the excel file knowing the data type of the column, it will take significantly more programming in the backend for them to delivery that.
CSV on the other hand, is a little better. While BB is still outputing all string of text, when Excel opens a CSV file, it does some intelligent guess on the column data and automatically make it the correct data type it guessed on. CSV also allow exporting of more than 1M+ rows, whereas Excel has a 1M limit (specifically it is 1,048,576 rows)

Soliciting Vote for Event Online Registration Form Idea - Pledge Amount Limit
Hi all,
I'm soliciting votes here for this idea: Allow Pledge Option in Event Registration to Set a Limit
Idea is, event registration can have many pricing level, and allowing a pledge option on small ticket purchase ($20 ticket), doesn't make sense for us. The idea is to have an optional limit set on the pledge option such that the registration fee has to be at least the minimal amount to have the pledge option becomes available.
Thank you all
Re: Listing of Security Role Tasks & Their Functionality
Thank you. I actually created a spreadsheet with all the options for each module, but wasn't sure what permissions some of the options granted. We weren't able to get much help from support either. We were back and forth with them to grant a specific permission to one of our users and never got a resolution.
Re: Listing of Security Role Tasks & Their Functionality
I would be interested in this as well for the Payables and Treasury modules. It is very unclear and confusing what security you are granting when clicking the checkboxes.

On-demand backups
Starting next week, organizations in the public cloud (hosted by Blackbaud Cloud Operations) can request a database backup once per month.
NOTE: We will release this functionality in waves over the next few weeks. If you don't see it next week, it'll be available in an upcoming wave.
You can request a backup from the Database view options page in Financial Edge NXT. To access, select Database, Database options. The On-demand backups tile displays the history of your backups and status.
To request a backup, select +New file the request. You'll receive an email notification when it's ready!
Backup benefits:
- Saves time and increases autonomy. The new self-service tool reduces the need to file customer support tickets.
- Enables you to specify a date and time (from the previous seven days) for your backup.
- Improves security.
- View a history of backups and requests in progress.
- Copy the SAS URI and download your TDE certificate bundle.
For detailed instruction on submitting a request and downloading backup information, see On-demand backups.
Pre-payment report export options
We have added export functionality back to the Pre-payment report in Treasury. When processing payments, you can now download reports in PDF, Word, and Excel formats.
Due to payment processing changes, the PDF viewer for the Pre-payment report was removed during the payment run workflow. While you could still download reports in a PDF format, you couldn't export reports in multiple formats.
Total Web Solution Journey
The completion timeline for Total Web Solution (TWS) runs to the end of the year. This impacts just a few features that aren't in web view yet. Our decision addresses usability and performance concerns, allowing us to better support customers during this transition.
By slowing the process, we hope users will feel assured and well-supported as they adapt to Financial Edge NXT's new workflows.
Stay engaged with our TWS journey right here and through our dedicated Total Web Solution page, the Product Update Briefing (PUB), your monthly emails, and of course, the in-product notifications. These resources will keep you up-to-date on the latest developments and what's coming next. Thank you for being part of this exciting transformation!
