Re: Minimum Amount in Optimized Form
@Samantha McGuin Thanks for being part of this conversation and sharing the idea bank links.
Just to add to the minimum gift amount conversation. My initial thought about this was it seems to me that the cost to process a $1 online gift (merchant fees and staff entry time) would actually be a net loss to the organization. However, I thought about the number of online gifts we receive for under $5 and decided to take a look and since we started tracking the gift source in 2020 only 1.5% of gifts we received online were under $5. I suspect some of the larger donations offset the “loss” for those smaller gifts.
And to continue my stream of consciousness response here, it really makes you think about how much you lose on fees if a donor gives say $10K online or even $5K. Do I hear a between range for these forms? hahaha! Interesting conversation for sure.
Re: Minimum Amount in Optimized Form
Hi @Samantha McGuin ,
Our senior management has asked us to pause the implementation of the Optimized Form due to the absence of a critical functionality—specifically, the ability to set a minimum gift amount.
This feature is considered essential for the following reasons:
Gift Acceptance Policy: Our in-house policy requires a minimum donation of $10. This has been in place for over 25 years, and there is no willingness to revise it to accommodate the current software limitation.
Official Receipts: We only issue official gift receipts for donations of $10 or more. These are generated automatically upon batch approval, and we want to avoid placing additional manual workload on our back-end team to issue receipts for qualifying online gifts.
Is there any possibility that the Blackbaud team could prioritize this functionality? I truly appreciate the benefits of the Optimized Forms and would prefer to move forward with them. However, without this feature, our back-end team may be asked to revert to using Standard Forms instead.
Re: bbcon 2025 Keynote Speaker Announced!
@Crystal Bruce Not familiar as of yet, but will try to be before October!
Pledge installment Balance & Fundraiser Name
I am trying to create dashboard in which I want to show the total amount of installment balance due in a fiscal by Fundraiser.
As soon as I try to create an insight which included Fundraiser name and Installment Pledge balance my filter stops working.
What is the best way to get this information through the “Report Builder” feature of Raisers Edge NXT

@Crystal Bruce
I'm not familiar with him either, but I will follow him on socials so I can be properly star struck at bbcon.
Re: Power BI Data Refresh and Publish
@Molly Glowacki
if your power bi data source is in sharepoint, but getting a gateway error, then the likely problem is the way you “source” the data.
You probably have OneDrive installed where SharePoint files are “sync” to your computer. When you setup the power BI to get data, were you using SharePoint or Excel file and then select the file from your computer's Onedrive?
Re: How to remove access to Settings > Tools > Form Settings?
I resolved the issue! It turns out that this is related to the permissions in the roles for event management. You need to uncheck the box permitting people to edit registration forms and that will take away their access to the form settings. Hopefully this helps someone else!

Re: Accounts Payable "improvements"
@Heather Craig
I noticed that just yesterday. We have a folder system set up in our main printer/copier. All documents go through this folder for each worker so we don't overlap jobs. I couldn't imaging printing without this as you have to load the checks. For EFT's I noticed we were missing the usual step to approve PLUS the notepad file with the banking information we send in to our bank to process the EFT's. I am looking for help with this.
Re: Clarification on Which Gift API to Use in SKY API
@Pradyut Joshi
depends on what kind of constituent data you want, check out the API reference

Power Automate actions using Blackbaud API connector
Help please! New-ish Data analyst who's very new to using Power Automate!
I work for an organisation that uses Raiser's Edge database and Raiser's Edge NXT to store data about all our individual supporters who we call constituents.
? What I’m Trying to Achieve
I want to automate a process that identifies constituents in Raiser's Edge NXT involved in our “Memory Tree” initiative and takes action based on their engagement and contact status.
? Flow Logic and Required Actions
- Manually trigger the flow (Instant cloud flow).
- Retrieve multiple constituents who either:
- Have a constituent code = “Memory Tree”, or
- Have a custom field with the value “Memory Tree”
❗ I need to know how to do this using the connector — there is no “List constituents” action, and “Search for a constituent” only returns one result. I need to retrieve multiple matching constituents so I can loop through them.
- For each matching constituent, I need to:
- Retrieve their actions using the connector.
- Check if any action:
- Has type = “Mailing - FR”
- AND the subject starts with “Memory Tree”
- If such an action exists, I then need to:
- Check if the constituent has:
- A valid email address, or
- A consent status such as “Opted In”
- Check if the constituent has:
- If either condition is true, I want to:
- Send an email (e.g., to notify a team member, log the case, or trigger a follow-up)

Please can you tell me the actions in Power automate - Blackbaud connector that will achieve this?
