@Bryan Lorenzo Thanks, Bryan! I came to the community for the same reason. I had no idea it was an opt-in feature! Much appreciated!

Re: What's your favorite Robert Hernandez memory?
@Bobby Steurer Is this an “In Honor Of”, or “In Memory Of”? LOL. I wish more people took trainings to know that this record is a great starter record to learn on.

Re: Primary Contacts - Best practice - make them a full constituent?
@Diana Gray What constituency would they have? I'm not a fan of creating records for people because of their position. That includes government or elected officials. I know the last part is an unpopular take, but it's the next level of the same issue.
Here's the rub though…if you really are going to be contacting them so frequently that all those options are necessary, then you would have to create full records for them for that. My question is why does it matter? If they make a gift/volunteer/some action that needs changes their relationship with your organization, then you create the record for them at that time.
Re: Campaign management best practices
@Mark Zigadlo This is the classic “chicken and the egg” conundrum. You want to reduce the number of active campaigns listed, but need to keep the historical information from when they started. I don't know if you can satisfy both masters here. I'm a big fan of creating one campaign that doesn't change for recurring gifts.
Pledges are a slightly different animal, as there is a different requirements for formal campaign counting. You might need to keep those, but generally we are only looking at a handful of years. Recurring gifts can end at any time, as there is usually no specific amount to be raised or a certain number of payments, and no paperwork needed. It could be argued that these gifts are just annual gifts, and can be counted in the year that they were made/processed, not tied to the campaign of the original recurring gift.
