Re: Selecting Donors from Query
Are you saying I can't take the Ids of the constituents from the query and use an apply to each to apply a Custom Code? I don't need a download step. I'm trying to do pure automation.
When I say I it applied Custom Codes to random Ids, I mean that the flow applied 500 Custom Fields and none of them were to any of the 28 records that were in my Query.
Re: Selecting Donors from Query
@Sean Pflueger - You can, but you need to follow Alex's steps 1-5 in his response – that will get you the output of your query to then use in the actual automation. It's one of those things that aligns with the motto of Power Automate - “it will take more steps than you think it should”.
Re: Global Changes to Constituent Codes
@Austen Brown, thank you for replying. I signed up for the course. I'm busy at that time but I should get access to a recording. All the best, Jack
Re: Global Changes to Constituent Codes
@Joe Moretti I'm curious why you would keep the constituent code of "Student" for these records?
Re: Global Changes to Constituent Codes
@Spring Velazquez Just for historical purposes. Now I know if someone is an alumni they would have been a student at some point. But like I said, just historical. But you can choose just to globally change student to alumni.
Re: Global Changes to Constituent Codes
@Jack Wagner
Does your school use LMS? If so, I have my Connect RE set up to automatically change an alumni from current student to Alumni and make them a constituent. Easy peasy!
Re: New Google Classroom Integration??
@Stephen Boyle
I second, @Kristi Romanik question. Is there/will there be any sort of documentation released to customers prior to the integration's release that will map the functionality? Current integration with Google Assignments still has so many limitations with one-way data and most of those limitations customers had to figure out on their own.
Re: Event registrant export too limited - need options
Aggghhh! Just had to export list of people registered for 2 major events. Found it extremely limiting. We want to pull FN/NN/LN/Class of/Major/ID. Found that Major is not an option. Talked to alumni person who pulls all their events and she said “no, it's a major major pain as have to pull, run query and merge to get the info for lists and nametags.” She deals with it almost daily.
Constituent list doesn't pull participants so still requires a merge.
I recognize it gets tricky when it's a mix of constituent and participant records. BUT, there should be the option to add fields to the export. Would like to be able to easily pull major and custom fields.
No, registration was not thru an NXT event reg (several reasons, won't go into now). Regs were processed thru NetC.
Just so disappointed that NXT could not give me the info needed for two major event lists.
Please vote for added functionality for event exports: RENXT-I-2441 Export Functionality in NXT Event Module (displays as ‘Shipped’) but most relevant idea I found.
You should be able to do this with a Participant Export. You do need the additional Event module, and cannot rely only on the basic webview version, but I suspect you have that?
I did it a lot when I worked for a high school who did nametags for everything, and since I still do some consulting work for them I looked up one of my exports. Does this help?

Putting dates to these constituent codes can also really helpful. For example, you could see that someone was a student from 2020-2024 and then became an alum starting in 2024 when they graduated.
