Describe your journey to Blackbaud.
I’ve worked extensively in Community Management in the action sports world for roughly the past 15 years. From organizing community member programs to daily management of message boards for various sports and titles, I’ve had a lot of experience in fun communities. After trying several times to find the right fit at Blackbaud, I was fortunate enough to land with the amazing group here in Community Management.
Tell us about your family (human and fur babies count)
My wife and I have 6 amazing children and 3 dogs. You could easily say that we’re the Brady Bunch. "Table for 8" is our motto and we do everything together. I married well as my wife is a former chef and we want for nothing food-wise in our house!
What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
Outside of work I’m a sucker for getting outdoors and keeping my feet moving. From daily Crossfit sessions to surfing, boating, and fishing – I’m always trying to be as close to the water as possible. I’m also a big NFL and NASCAR fan.
Do you volunteer for a non-profit? If so, tell us about the organization and why you work with them.
In the past I have volunteered nationally with the Surfrider Foundation, donated on a regular basis to the Red Cross, and Blessings in a Backpack. Locally in the Charleston area, I have extensively volunteered with the Lowcountry Food Bank and their commercial kitchen providing me.
If you were a sandwich, which kind would you be?
I’m a bit biased in my sandwich choices as I have an allergy to wheat / bread, but do you remember the KFC Double Down? (two chicken breasts with cheese between them). I’d make my bread out of meat and be a delicious, meaty treat.
