Gift Batch: Best Practices re: Searching for/Pulling Records in from ResearchPoint While in Gift Batch

We are revising the way we currently handle our approach to acquisition/grateful family engagement, as we have purchased Blackbaud's Grateful Patient (Family) Solution. Up until now, we were importing all patient and related relationship data into RE on a daily basis. The reason for this was twofold: 1) it facilitated our grateful family mail solicitation, and 2) created efficiencies in gift batch (i.e., honor/memorial record was already created, and relationships were established for acknowledgement purposes. We are no longer doing this. Going forward we will FTP our patient/relationship data to BB, and have the screening results imported back into ResearchPoint. Now, the data that we used to import in RE will reside in ReseachPoint. Does anyone else have a similar scenario, and has successfully found an efficient way to work between RE and ResearchPoint while in gift batch mode?
