Scannable Event Tickets

My org is moving to NXT (today!!), and I'm pretty excited to be introducing everyone to the events module, which they haven't used before. I have used it at a past gig.


My question is - I know it's pretty easy to check in people on an iPad if they have purchased their tix online using the Events modules but... is there a way to integrate using an actual scannable ticket, either print or digital?


We do a cool recurring event called Locked Library which is a combination of Locked Room puzzle and scavenger hunt. The attendance ranges from 500-1200 people, all of which arrive in a short time window. I would like to be able to scan a ticket barcode or QR code, and have that scan register them into the Events module - something we could have our young volunteers do easily with phones, minimal training needed.


Any advice on best way to do this?

Did you figure out a solution? I am wondering if I can turn RE ID's into barcodes and scan to attract attendance at events.

@Cherington Shucker Sadly, no. We have had to move our event management out of RE for this reason.
