S-Tag question

Hey Luminate Online users!


I'm about to start working on a 90-minute S-Tag course for Blackbaud University. I plan on covering basic s-tag usage and basic conditionals (if-else-then). Maybe more complex conditionals if I have time.


What I'm wondering is what would have helped you the most when you were first learning how to use s-tags? What advice would you give someone who is delving into the world of s-tags for the first time? Are there a handful of s-tags that are your go-tos?

An S-Tag course sounds great! I just learned (in this forum) about the fact that, when nesting tags, you need to nest an S-Tag within an E-tag. I had been getting frustrated trying to nest S-Tags in S-Tags, unsuccessfully. Would have been good to know up front.
