Custom Pricing When creating Events
I know you can assign custom pricing when editing an individual event. However now due to covid, we have timed ticket entry every 30 minutes, yet we have custom peak pricing days Fri-Sunday when the prices go up. Currently that means having to edit every 30 minute event one by one. We tried to copy each 30 minute event with custom pricing, but the custom pricing did not copy over, it went back to default and had to be changed manually. Also can't adjust on program level like other feature such as capacity or online sale time, without it effecting all events already in the system. Is there a way to creat events on certain days with one pricing list, and other dates with another pricing list, because we have been at this for hours just trying to setup a couple weeks of tickets and it's not really cost effective to have someone editing every 30 minute program and to take hours to get 2 weeks of tickets online?

Did you try setting the program prices to the peak $ then create the events only for Fri-Sunday for the 30 min timing for 2 weeks? Then update the program prices to the regular and create the other events on Mon-Thursday? If they are named the same then they should all show on the Altru ticket page calendar. That way you don't have to edit every 30 min time frame, and only edit the program before you create the events?

We have tried it that way as well. The problem we ran into was the Covid numbers kept changing, and we had to edit each one individually because tickets were already sold in that event, you cannot delete and create new because there are ticket attached. We are also changing our pricing and have even more custom pricing options, but edited and custom price type is not an option, so we have to edit every individual event for every 30 minutes still for over a year now. We also can't query custom pricing fields and it's making things very difficult to mage and report on when it's such a manual process. Our Guest services team is spending 8+ hours every week on adding new online tickets, when it could be grouped into custom pricing groups, edit certain price fields per date and time and report on such features. Although it was covid that changed things, in the future online timed ticketing and custom pricing looks like it will be staying but this makes it unmanageable when it could be fixed on back end for all users. This combined with online merchandise sales still not being allowed for the last 5 years, having to make that a scheduled program, membership a scheduled program, members can't easy add on a ticket or a merchandise option makes the website really clunky for the guest and reporting really ugly with all the different ways we have to force things to work in the software.0

I just tested this on a couple different programs at our institution (one scheduled and the other pre-registered) and the custom pricing on the scheduled program, as well as all customizations on the pre-registered program (pricing, registration questions, and web form) all copied over from the customized event.
Maybe give it another shot?0
