How can I put diacritical marks (such as a tilde) in a student's name?

    The system has the ability to store the information, you just need to be able to enter them from your keyboard.  Here's a site from lifehacker that explains how to do that in Windows or Mac; I hadn't used the "touch keyboard" method before, but if you have Windows 10 that's a nice improvement over previous versions.  (There might be a bunch of extra ads/stuff on that page, but I have them blocked - so don't click on anything you don't want there!)

    Anita Li‍ - we've never added the diacritical marks due to integrations and imports/exports with other software. 


    How do you handle these integrations? We have some that won't accept these marks.

    David Gillespie - thank you for telling me about exploring LIfehacker.  I will look into it.

    Bryan Lorenzo - I haven't had to handle any problem with integrating diacritical marks from Core into another software, because I have not yet used diacritical marks in Core.  It will be interesting to see what happens. Thanks for the warning.
