Double Opt In / Welcome Series Campaigns

Hello! Has anyone successfully set up an automated double opt in campaign? Additionally, has anyone successfully set up an automated welcome series? I'm trying to do this for my organization and I'm running into roadblocks. Any guidance is helpful. My idea is attached.

Your workflow looks nice! We are currently working to implement something like this to on-board constituents in a more thoughtful manner.


I looked into double opt-in a while back, but there is an issue with it. I went through a lot of notes/cases trying to find the reason it won't work when I spoke to support, but I know there is an issue. This might be it though: https://search.blackbaud.com/#q=double%20opt%20in&t=All


It will only work with new constituents. We allow the same email address to be used in TR for multiple constituents. I think it won't work for us due to this.


Is there a reason you are putting constituents in groups instead of interests? My guess is that its because you can do this with tasks/queries. Just be aware that if you send to a group and the constituent unsubscribes, that user is gone from your entire housefile. We use interests so that constituents can unsubscribe from a certain email and still receive others we send.
