What do you like from NXT?

Hi friends. It is time for me to do my goals for the year. This past year, I have spent time learning more about NXT than the basics, and I want to try to use that. Can you tell me, what are some of your favorite features from NXT that may not have been implemented (or well implemented) when you began with it?


I want to be able to say to my boss "RE NXT can allow /gives our fundraisers _______________. I'd like to implement it's use this year"

Besides Steven's suggestion, I don't know how to answer what you could implement as we don't know what you have implemented.


Are you using Proposals? Opportunities? Workflow? Or have you even started with fundraiser assignments, status, actions and notes?  We are in process of standardizing status and getting all the head knowledge and Excel notes recorded in RE.

Whew, do I feel like I got my hands slapped?

Benjamin Brennan‍, I did answer your question as well as ask questions. IMO, my time is valuable and I'm not going waste it suggesting implementing something you implemented 2 years ago, so thus the request to be more specific the same time as giving ideas.


And I hardly think Steven Cinquegrana‍'s 7 word suggestion could be considered a commentary on what you did wrong, either.

I have a query set up for any constituent who has donated in the last year. Then from NXT Lists > Constituents, I pick that query and change the view from list to map. It takes a few seconds to load the map and all the pins, but once a colleague sees it their normal reaction is Wow. That you can zoom, pan, click and geo-fence puts a smile on their faces. Then it's over to the fundraisers to find ways to use it :-)
