Urgent Help: Directory on NetCommunity

We are trying to launch our Alumni Directory today. I have the correct fields selected that we want to be automatically made public (name and class year). Alumni can choose to make any info public they wish when they update their info, which should pull over as well.


We want name and class year to show for everyone. However, I just checked and it was pulling in all information regardless. So, I had to go through and remove all merge fields on the profile display. Anyone know how to get these to pull over accordingly?

I checked the "Fields" section in sites & settings and only name and class year are selected to be public.


By removing all of the fields except the ones I want, it now displays correct. However, it Stephanie opted to show her birthday, country, etc., those fields will now not show regardless of her wishes.

Once you've set your public settings, you'll need to set the privacy settings in the PROFILE FORM part

I 'think' you need to view the information as another user/alumni.  I did the same thing and was told that me and my staff could see everything because we are administrators.  If you log in as a regular alumni user (test record or an alumni with their permission), you will only see what is set to show in the directory.
