One Constituent Pays for Another Constituent Automatically

Hi everyone,


I would like to set up a way for one constituent to pay for another constituent automatically in Raiser's Edge.  To provide more context: we have membership programs and on occasion a constituent is gifted a membership by another constituent.  In this case, the constituent A (donor) would like to continue paying for constituent B's (recipient) membership automatically.  Is there a way this can be coded in the RE to perform this anytime constituent A sends us a gift?

I would consider creating a pledge on the donor's account that loads the payments to a membership on the recipient's record.  Granted, the record might be confusing as the membership will have gifts linked to it, however it does not seem as if the recipient will be soft credited for those gifts.

in membership there is an option gift of membership, maybe look in to that.

It sounds like you have the Membership module.  Have you used the "Gift of Membership" functionality before?  Nothing will fully automate the process, but it provides a good framework for what has taken place.
