Refunding a pledge payment

Hello,

I had a patron make a pledge payment for an event that was eventually cancelled. How do I refund the pledge payment? When I went into Sales>Refunds the payment was not there, yet I can see it on the constituent page.

Hi Alexis!

Because it was a back office payment - it won't be refundable via the Sales Refund tool. It's a fairly easy task though! Here's the article that walks you through your options: https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/61319. You can either delete the payment and issue the refund back on their card or edit the amount to $0 and refund the card upon saving. I hope that helps!
