Support for self hosted RE7 Users

I realize that self hosted RE7 users are becoming dinosaurs but we have our reasons for not transitioning to RE:NXT at this time.So my question is this, is it just me or does Blackbaud seem to be cutting online support resources for RE7 users?


Today I was trying to find what the current version and patch level was for RE7 and I could only find resources for RE:NXT. When I decided to try to "Chat" about it I could not find any links to RE chat but had to chat with LO support (we also use LO) and ask them to transfer me to RE support. References to RE7 seem to have disappeared for the most part.


Anyone else experiencing this?

You are correct.  Every time I contact support I need to make sure they know we are self hosted and that just confuses them.

Just an FYI -- I am at an org that has no real use - among other reasons for not going to NXT.  But -- we did convert good ol' RE7 to a hosted environment a little over a year ago instead of self hosted.  It has gone well and gives everyone who needs access to RE remotely much more easily than the way we were doing it.  We are hosted with concourse not BB, their support has been great.

We are NOT hosted and have not upgraded.... We've been experiencing a number of different glitches. We've been told that either they are "working on a fix" (for maybe 3-4 weeks now) or they've provided a work around that is highly inefficient and time consuming.

I was able to get updates/patch information this summer; however, I have previously installed one patch behind (I feel it has saved me a lot of glitches) and this year support could not provide me the file download to install one patch before the current patch.  It does seems to be getting more challenging to be on RE7, but I remember many years ago when they said RE7 would be phased out.  As long as I can still have it, I won't complain!

Christine, Concourse Hosting is the BEST!  I really miss being 3rd-party hosted.  It was truly the best of both worlds.  If anyone else is self-hosted but hates dealing with the hassles of it, definitely check out 3rd-party hosting through Concourse Hosting!
