Matching Gifts

Hello Everyone,

Our Foundation has been blessed with a matching gift for our Holiday Campaign. The gift is up to a maximum of $10,000.

Does anyone know if there is a way to set a limit on the organization to ensure it DOES NOT allow pledges over the $10,000?

I don't know of a built in way in the RE software to monitor this. While I understand the need to track the status of matches on the way up to $10K, why would you want to limit pledges from exceeding the $10K mark? More income for the Holiday Campaign! Just curious.

Hi JoAnn,

We will allow donations to go above and beyond the $10,000. We were hopeful there was a way on the Organization record to ensure their matching pledges do not go above their committed match.

If only specific gifts to the holiday campaign count toward the match, I would identify them with a specific appeal like Holiday Campaign Match. Then you could easily run reports on that donations linked to that appeal to track your progress to reaching the $10,000.
