Venmo payment experience

We've rolled out a pilot for Venmo in BBIS/CRM and I am curious if anyone else has integrated with Braintree/Venmo, and what their experience was like. Specifically,

1. How was Venmo implemented?  
   1. Was it a home grown approach using Braintree's SDK, or was the drop-in used?
   2. Was an ADF used, BasePayment parts, or another method?
2. How did the integration with CRM function?
3. How was the form received by the community?
   1. Did it perform well?
