Issue with Currency Attribute Merge Field Format in BBIS email

Is anyone else having an issue with the formatting of a currency attribute pulling from CRM as a merge field into a BBIS email? Looking at the attribute in CRM, it is formatted correctly as $1,234,567.89 but when the email is sent (cannot view merge data via email test) the merge field is displaying as 1234567.89 - is anyone else encountering this issue? We used a similar process back in April 2020 and it worked great.

Process: currency attribute on constituent's record in CRM. Pulling as merge field in BBIS email marketing message against an export definition containing that attribute.

  • FYI, I did figure out a work-around: this is not an issue when sending the email as part of a Direct Marketing Effort in BBCRM, as you can specify the "Currency Export Options" for currency formatting under the DME > Effort Settings > Export. But, no such formatting options/settings exist in BBIS.
