Events Appearing in RE NXT - Without Owning the Events Module?

I am lucky enough to be the database admin for TWO different organizations with their RE databases.  Today I found something weird...


One of the organizations I work with does NOT pay for the Events module.  But today I noticed that we can use Events in RE NXT for that organization... I can create events in RE NXT, I can create participation records and the Events tile even shows up on Constituent records.  But... in database view I can't see Event records or see Events in security, etc... 


Sooo... Is that a bug?  Heh... Do any of you who do NOT pay for the Events module have Events in RE NXT?

Blackbaud rolled out a slimmed down version of event management to everyone who has NXT:

So not a bug!  Everyone I work with has the event module, so I haven't been able to play with this version, but the blog post explains its functionality.
