Hi,


We use ConnectRE to sync data from Core to RE NXT, when someone unsubscribes from a communication piece from the school we go into Core and remove their email address, this effectively removes their email address from RE NXT as well.  However in situations like this, they only want to be removed from one piece of communication for example, they no longer want to receive our weekly newsletter but want to receive other communication pieces such from our Advancement Dept.


Was wondering if anyone else has this issue, if so, can you share how you deal with it.  Is this something the Advancement Dept. would have to manage on their end, I don't see ConnectRE or Core to have the functionality to parse or specify what a parent opts in/out of.

    If I'm understanding correctly, you don't have to remove their email address. Bulk mail subscriptions are managed under their Profile Settings - Notifications. They can unsubscribe to all pushpages or just certain ones.

    We have created dedicated distribution lists for types of messages to the community, essentially creating duplicate lists. As a result, if someone Unsubscribes from the Loss in the Community list, for example, they will still get the Messages from the Head of School. Unsubscribing is no longer an all-or-nothing proposition.

    Where do these distribution lists live, and how do you connect them to a RE NXT Marketing -> Email type email?  When sent from RE NXT Marketing -> Email and the person unsubscribes, how would the distribution list see that unsubscribe action?

    Michelle Ruth‍  I should have been more clear: These distribution lists are within Core and used to send Pushpages through Communication. I have not yet delved into the capacity within RE NXT to send newsletters. We use Pushpages very frequently for messages to our constituents so having distinct distribution lists are essential, IMO, to keeping the numbers of Unsubcribes as low as possible.
