Maybe it's because I uploaded my spreadsheet on April 1, but I followed the directions in the data file: "(Y)es, (N)o or leave blank for default setting" Nevermind that I don't know what the default setting is, both answers were acceptable so I left it blank.


When I got the validation back, they all failed because "Invalid data: Column Required"

    Which data import task were you running? I generally download the sample import file and then modify it with the data I'm trying to upload.

    I also download the templates. I think this was on courses and the field was "independant_study". The data description sheet description said: Required Data Type Max Length Description FALSE char Is this an Independent Study course? (Y)es, (N)o or leave blank for default setting

    Interestingly, the columns "active" and "publish" both say "leave blank for default setting". Not sure how one can leave a required field blank...
