Managing EFT transactions

Hiya!


I'm interested to find out how others are managing recurring gift activity via the EFT module. We are fairly new to this and are using Netcommunity donation part 2.0 to on our online giving form.

This doesn't allow us to restrict which days a donor may pledge/give (i.e. weekly/monthly) and so we are having to run a daily process in RE to see if a gift is potentially due for payment/to be charged.


As a very small team this isn't ideal - any advice/best practice to be shared here?

Hi Jo Dann,


We use Online Express donation forms for recurring EFTs. Our donors only have one option, which is monthly (choosing from the 1st or 15th). We wanted to keep it simple for everyone.

You can use the specific frequency function, we chose the 18th to help alleviate any heavy gift processing traffic that may occur on the 15th. So far our Donors are ok with this choice.

We ran into the same problem! We ended up creating a "recurring gift" page and/or buttons to direct donors to that specific page. On that separate page, we use the original Donation Form where you can specify dates like Elaine posted. We only use Donation 2.0 for one-time gifts ... hoping the settings will be updated soon on Donation 2.0 to specify dates for recurring!
