Recording Grants that Support More than One Foundation

Looking to learn how other organizations, especially larger healthcare systems with multiple sites/locations are processing grants that funds are split between more than one foundation?

Would love to learn if you are using Soft Credit, and if so, what that looks like?

Or if you use Split Gift?

Or some other method to track or note for reporting later.

Back in my healthcare days we would enter as separate gifts, and in the acknowledgment specify the distributions.

I agree with Patti. And stay away from split gifts if you can…they can be a nightmare to report on. There have been MANY discussions her in the Community about the evils of split gifts!
