Solicit Code date in NXT but not in RE...

Hey all,

Any thoughts on why Solicit Codes in RE have no option for start & end date but they do have the date option in NXT web view? Super frustrating! Or am I missing something and it should be there?

In that case, why would I want to use solicit codes if I can just use approach restriction Attributes which allow for more data tracking?

I don't think you're missing anything. Here's something I now tell our users on a DAILY basis:

“It's not you, it's Blackbaud.” ?

There are actually lots of little instances where things in RE NXT don't quite match or don't appear in database view. I love the idea of improving their product with web view… but it is totally frustrating (and mildy infuriating) that they don't make things more consistent.

Like @Tom Klimchak stated, this is a case of realizing improving the product, but we do have to realize that Blackbaud is not going to be updating the legacy version of RE 7 anytime soon.

In regards to using attributes over the solicit codes, that's a organizational (read: personal) preference. Obviously, as they continue to improve the product, you'll find more functionality that you've already created an attribute to track more often. I imagine that's just the nature of progress.
