Workaround to populate Surveys and Events using auto-login

Has anyone found a workaround for auto-populating a Survey form or an Event ticketing form with Constituent information (name, address, email, etc) if the user accesses the form from a link with the auto-login parameter? Per Support, this only works for donation forms. We've got serious interest in improving our user experience by finding a way to make this work with other parts of LO.

Embed the cons_id into your email link, then grab it and populate with Javascript. They won't be logged in (so you'll need to set the survey to allow multiple submissions), but it works as a plan B.

Also keep in mind that the link will work for anyone that way, so people would be able to share the link and accidentally have others fill it out on their behalf. Solution there would be to add respondents to a group and use conditionals to trigger the workaround.
