Not able to upload Media Files?

Hi All,

When attempting to upload any media files in RE7 we are experiencing an error indiciating “Your Administrator has blocked this program. For more information, contact your system administrator”

We did not run into this yesterday, is anyone else running into this? I can't get through to chat?

Goodness! I realize this is not helpful in this particular moment, but if you haven't already reach out to support and let them know you are experiencing this issue. Looking through posts on the Facebook RE User Group from today, there looks to be a few more users that are experiencing the same issue.

Yes, I seen that as well! After an hour and a half wait for support they are currently looking into this for me.

In case anyone else runs into this.. this is the reasoning I received from suppot

"The error is being caused because RE is attempting to open the PDF when selecting to attach the PDF file. When you receive this error, you should be able to select OK and continue to add the media file. With the changes that have taken place in regards to the media tab and Microsoft Office integration, our product team will continue to work on removing buttons and options that attempt to open files that can no longer be opened within the Raiser's Edge.

Removing this option will require a new patch and we do not have a specific time frame of when this will be rolled out. Please click through the error to save attachments at this time, or add attachments through NXT. As a note for NXT, any attachments added through NXT will not be visible in the Database View.
