Have you noticed lately any problem or lower open rate with your email campaign? Mine are significaly lower. Is there anything to fix or do?

Hi Isabelle,

I'm curious, over what time frame have you observed a decline in your organization's open rate?

You may recall that last autumn, Apple made a change to the iOS and Mac Mail clients that stopped reporting email opens to email marketers, and I think it's safe to say that many organizations saw a decline in open rate then.

Other vendors had already stopped reporting opens to email marketers, and with Apple joining in, it's no longer a certainty that if the system is reporting that a specific constituent has not opened an email that they really didn't open that email.

That said, if you saw a marked decline in your open rate from January to February, or February to March, I would investigate if there's something that caused that dip.

We've actually seen inflated open rates in direct correlation to the Apple IOS changes Derek mentions. We are currently not reporting on open rates because of these changes.
